Hot or iced. Bold and smooth. The right ratio. The perfect consistency. That dreamy, aromatic cup of coffee. It is an absolute everyday must!
For years I was a Coffeemate creamer consumer. So many flavors. So easy! And then one day, I just started tasting all of the extra “stuff”. I noticed the aftertaste. I read the label. I decided I wanted something better. I went to Starbucks creamers. I tried the Chobani ones. I liked that had less ingredients and were made of dairy products. But I still wanted something different.
I had tried different recipes in the past. They were too thin. They lacked flavor. They didn’t mix well. There’s something to be said for searching for recipes, though. You find ingredients that you like and those that you don’t. Methods that work, and some that leave some things to be desired. But you weed through that and come up with the best creation for you! This recipe is so so easy. It’s completed in 5 minutes including washing the dishes. It makes your coffee taste delicious and rich. And you just may already have all of the ingredients needed: Half and half, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract. Voila! So simple, and seriously so delicious.
I’ve seen methods where the various creamer ingredients are placed in mason jar and shaken. I’ve tried that with this, but I have to say it’s worth you time to mess up a bowl and whisk all of the ingredients together. The mixture is more even and the taste is to die for.
{My tip: If you haven’t gotten an electric frother, do it! I have a battery operated, less than $10 one from amazon, and it whips this creamer up to a delicious texture in seconds. It looks so pretty poured over the top of hot or iced coffee!}
I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. I’ve been making it since the beginning of this year and I look forward to it every morning. Today I doubled the recipe and put most of it in the liter glass container (added last minute to my pick up order from Walmart one day — $4!). I always think the container that holds dairy makes a difference, and glass is where it’s at!
Please let me know if you try it and what you think. Any variations? Flavor suggestions? I hope you enjoy!

- 2 Tbsp. vanilla extract

This is awesome! I use sweetened condensed milk sometimes which I found to be the most similar in taste to coffee shop creamer but not the right consistency, so I love this simple mix! Totally going to try it!
This sounds delicious! Totally trying this.
This looks so great. I love the idea of a homemade creamer without all the additives.
